That's why I decided to rename the new downloaded file like HOTAS.Īfter doing this, I entered the game and noticed that there was no profile named HOTAS (how I named the file), but with the drivers of the HOTAS installed, the game gives me the chance to select a 'Thurstmaster' option in the controls panel. Once downloaded and moved to the Bindings forlder in C:\Users\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings I saw that there was already a file named Custom2.0.bindings. The first thing I did was to look for some user made bindings, and I found this one, wich seems to be good: The first try I made yesterday wasn't successful and I don't know why. And then out of thin air appears the steam update :P damn, anyway I hope after this 3 hour download the launcher doesn't want me to download anything again ^^ But well I'm always drawing the worst case scenarios into my life, and this is just a first world issue.I recently bought a Thurstmaster T-Flight Hotas X just for playing Elite Dangerous, and I need some advices about how could I config it for the best gameplay. If you own Horizons log in and you will see the option for it there any idea why the launcher, started outside of steam, without the patch, had to sync files before being ready for the update? Why was this sync necessary? I don't get it. However ALL Elite users have just downloaded the (8gb) patch which contains horizons so you don't need to download anything from frontier to get it to work just launch the steam version manually outside of steam and you get the new horizons capable launcher. it seems to detect steam is running and give players the old launcher with no Horizons access. Steam just blocks Horizons when you launch it that way. On the other hand I've just realized how I waste my sparse time for something like this. Now I've stopped it and started the download from steam.
